Mytocel MSK cost in the UK explained
Mytocel MSK takes a small sample of your own tissue and prepares it chair-side, with the Regenera Activa micrografting system made by Remedi, into living micrografts rich in your own repair cells. That preparation, the injection itself and the clinical time on the day are what the price reflects. Nothing is cultured in a laboratory, which keeps this a single-visit treatment.
At London Cartilage Clinic the injection is performed by Professor Paul Lee, who is among the first in the UK to use the Mytocel MSK version of the technology. The price is the same across joints, so treating the thumb base costs the same as treating a knee.

Outcomes after Mytocel MSK
Mytocel MSK is a regenerative treatment, not an immediate symptom-relief injection. The autologous micrografting technology behind it has been studied in joint osteoarthritis by Marcarelli, Tsoukas and Helito and colleagues, with further work by Codorean and by Lacza. Those studies describe the technology; outcomes vary with the joint and the individual.
Professor Lee will explain what the evidence does and does not yet show for your particular joint. For more advanced wear, a fuller approach such as ChondroFiller or NanoACi is usually recommended.
